I stumbled across The Breach last year and couldn't wait for Ghost Country. Dude. Awesome book. Now I have to wait for the next one! Oh well, I am sure it will be worth every minute of anticipation, just like Ghost Country. Keep it up!
After reading "The Breach" I was counting down the days till "Ghost Country" was released and I wasn't let down. Both book are easily in my top 10 favorite books I've ever read. Keep up the great work and hope you'll have another book out soon!
I picked up Ghost Country in a Target in Orlando a few days ago. The cover attracted me to it and the back cover read drug me in. I haven't been able to put it down! I'll be looking for The Breach this weekend to read. Keep up the great work. I'll be looking for future books!!
I just finished Ghost Country and I have now ordered The Breach. I really enjoyed Ghost Country and can't wait until I receive the first of the series. I'm hoping it is a series and there is more coming. Always excited to find a new author to read. Great work. Janice
Hi Patrick, Picked your Ghost Country up at the airport. Been years since I had read a science fiction/thriller. Truly a page turner. Will buy Breach next. I looked up your website to find out if you have a sequel coming. Really hoping so. Your clever science scenarios were highly orginal, fascinating and well thought out---with the loose ends nicely tied together. Thanks for such an enjoyable read. Patrick Lee is a name I'm going to remember. Sam
Hello, Patrick...I read a lot, but not science fiction. However, I tripped over "Ghost Country" on Amazon, saw the good comments, bought and read it, now I'm about half way through "The Breach"...so I need a new book from you by tommorrow evening, please. billied, Houston
Patrick, you're an awesome story teller, man! Never a boring moment in either one of your books and I can't wait for the next installment in the Travis Chase/Paige Campbell adventure. Thanks!!
Great books Patrick! I read The Breach awhile ago. I couldn't put it down, captivating! About a week ago I was picking up the new James Rollins book when i noticed Ghost Country on the shelf! I put the Rollins book back, and bought yours! It did not disapoint! Keep up the great work, and I'm looking forward to more Breach entities!
Wow. Really, this book (and series) is excellent. Parts of it reminded me of the Fallout: Wasteland video game series-which is a huge plus for me. I love post-apocalypse books, and even though this is not one, there is a lot of the same gritty and emotional feeling that has lead me back to read your books over and over. Thanks for your time and effort with these. Keep up the great writing and I will wait with not so quiet anticipation for future releases!
Great books, and particularly impressive being your first two. I read through "The Breach" quickly and almost nonstop, then immediately bought "Ghost Country".
One quick and friendly note (and slight spoiler warning): there is a simple and set progression of authority in cases when the President is out of commission - and it covers things even if both the Prez and VP are out of commission (as in "Ghost Country"). There's no need for some thrown together contingent system for ensuring Executive authority. The progression goes: Prez, VP, Speaker of the House, President pro tempore of the Senate, then down the line of all the various Secretaries of the President's cabinet with (thank Cthulhu) the Sec of dur Faderland...err, I mean Sec of Homeland Security being deadassed last in the lineup.
Looking forward to the next book. Between you and Suarez ("Daemon" and "Freedom(tm)") I've got my new goto guys for action/scifi/spec fiction.
Just finished reading "Ghost Country" today and am waiting to pick up "The Breach" from the library! Wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed "Ghost Country" - what a wild ride!
My first novel, The Breach, hit the stands at the beginning of 2010. Its sequel, Ghost Country, is in stores now, and the final volume of the trilogy, Deep Sky, will be released December 27 of this year. The series tells the story of Travis Chase, a man who finds himself caught up in the chain of events surrounding the world's most violently kept secret.
